Summary: Cellular neurothekeomas are rare benign growths of the skin, formerly thought to originate from the transformation of peripheral nerve sheath but the true origins remain elusive. These firm papulo-nodules typically occur in females between the ages of 20-30, and are most often located on the upper limbs, head, and neck. Here, we present a case series of three male family members with cellular neurothekeoma that highlight early-onset in infancy and a unique male predominance, suggesting a potential genetic component and inheritance pattern. Our case series underscore the need for further genetic exploration of neurothekeoma, especially in familial contexts, to better understand its pathogenesis and guide management strategies.
