Summary: PRAME (PReferentially expressed Antigen in MElanoma) is a melanoma-associated antigen. PRAME antibody is utilized via immunohistochemistry in diagnostic workup of melanocytic neoplasms (benign vs malignant). In this study we reviewed over 3000 cases of melanocytic neoplasms that were studied with the PRAME antibody. We reviewed the slides for amount of PRAME reactivity and intensity. Then, we grouped melanocytic neoplasms by diagnosis to see if we could correlate the amount and intensity of PRAME antibody reactivity with either a diagnosis of melanoma/melanoma in situ, atypical melanocytic hyperplasia or melanocytic nevus.
