Summary: Histiocytic sarcoma (HS) is a malignant proliferation of cells showing morphological and immunophenotypic features of mature tissue histiocytes. It is characterized typically by extranodal presentation and a dismal clinical course, particularly in patients with disseminated disease [2, 9]. In the most recent 2016 revision of the World Health Organization classification, HS is classified within the tumors of the macrophage-dendritic cell lineage [3, 4, 5, 11]. We present two recent cases of extranodal histiocytic sarcoma. The first case is a 62-year-old male patient who presented with intestinal obstruction. The second case is a 70-year-old woman with a large left renal mass.
