Summary: Pelvic trauma can be a potentially life-threatening injury that is sustained as a result of various causes such as falls, sports injuries, and motor vehicle accidents. This can lead to significant blood loss. which can be difficult to manage. The internal iliac arteries are a frequent source of bleeding in cases of pelvic trauma; however, other vessels can also be involved. Diagnostic tools such as computed tomography angiography (CTA) are commonly used to identity the source of bleeding and guide management strategies. In rare cases bleeding may not be evident on initial imaging and further diagnostic tests may be required.
