Summary: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent degenerative joint disease affecting millions of individuals globally. Knee pain associated with OA can significantly impact patients' quality of life and impose financial strains on healthcare systems (Liu et al., 2022). Conservative treatments, such as medications, physical therapy, and joint injections, may not offer adequate relief, and surgical interventions may not be appropriate for all patients (Conger et al., 2021). Consequently, there is a demand for safe and effective outpatient treatment options for knee pain due to OA. This educational exhibit aims to present the potential of genicular nerve ablation (GNA) as a treatment alternative for OA-associated knee pain and its financial ramifications.
