Summary: We found no statistical difference in percentage of positive biopsy between arteries with length < 2 cm and at least 2 cm. Even though, it is widely accepted that the longer the artery, the higher the sensitivity, longer artery could potentially lead to more risk of bleeding, infection, nerve injury, and wound dehiscence.3 The larger study is required to determine the optimum threshold for the length of the artery biopsied.
