Summary: Perihilar IPNB is a rare neoplasm with poor prognosis. Our series of 20 cases, the largest reported so far, summarize the clinicopathologic and molecular features of perihilar IPNB, supporting its inclusion in CAP protocols as one of the carcinomas of perihilar bile ducts. Future studies are warranted to compare perihilar IPNB with those originated in other sites of the biliary tract. We expect our molecular findings may help guide the selection of potential therapeutic targets.
