Summary: This study examines the impact of HLA-DPB1 mismatch on acute Graft-versus-Host Disease (aGVHD) in 59 solid organ transplantation (SOT) cases. HLA-DPB1 allelic genotypes were analyzed, and mismatches were assessed using quantitative and qualitative models. No significant association was found between HLA-DPB1 mismatch and aGVHD likelihood. The study suggests routine HLA-DPB1 mismatch evaluation prior to SOT may not be necessary, citing limitations like a small sample size and retrospective data collection. Larger prospective studies are recommended for a better understanding of HLA-DPB1 matching in SOT.
