Feel free to share with medical students or others you know who are curious about what it's like to be a pathologist!  My story of how/why I became a pathologist: https://goo.gl/J3cUwt. In July 2017, I was invited to takeover the MEDTakeovers Snapchat account for a day to talk about my career as a pathologist (the video is taken from the Snapchat story, which is why it's vertical...sorry!). I discuss the basics of what pathologists do, what training is required, etc, and I answer a variety of questions from the Snapchat audience. Then I show you a tour of the pathology lab (starting at 2:58) and the basic steps of how a biopsy of skin is turned into a glass slide that I can then examine and diagnose so that the dermatologist will know how to best treat the patient. And this is just a fraction of all the stuff that pathologists can do. It's a look at a day in my life, but there are so many other types of pathologists who do very different things every day. One thing that makes pathology so awesome is the diversity of knowledge and practice settings for pathologists. Hope you enjoy. Full video will also be available on MEDTakeovers.com soon: https://www.medtakeovers.com/free-videos/

A complete organized library of all my videos, digital slides, pics, & sample pathology reports is available here: https://kikoxp.com/posts/5084 (dermpath) & https://kikoxp.com/posts/5083 (bone/soft tissue sarcoma pathology).
